WASP - Buzzing with Possiblities
Used primarily by the operations and internal IT of business school. Utilized for transactional data, warranty verification (purchase dates), tracking via asset tags and serial numbers. Aids in life cycle management of devices and peripherals not only from a support standpoint but allows streamlining with surplus processes.
- Transactional/Historical Data
- Inventory Tracking/Tagging
- Querying data results via filters
- Interface is a little clunky and not really intuitive
- Gained valuable insight into less efficient equipment processes that were taking place in the office
- Allowed less man hours spent tracking and figuring our where equipment is or was
Wasp is a standalone asset tracking application whereas IssueTrak's asset tracking was a module available in their helpdesk ticketing platform. It's not an apples to apples comparison at this point. Wasp I feel is more robust in the feature set available but IssueTrak has a more modern interface and intuitive GUI
